Mr Iossifidis was educated at the University of Montpellier in France.
His postgraduate surgical training took place in Norwich and Cambridge.
He then joined the Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital higher surgical training rotation.
As a Senior registrar he developed an interest in shoulder surgery and completed a Shoulder
fellowship in London and New York.
He was appointed as a consultant surgeon at Croydon University Hospital, London, in 1997.
There he has developed the shoulder arthroscopic (keyhole surgery) service and Upper Limb unit.
He is a Fellow of the Royal college of Surgeons and member of
the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA)
the British Shoulder Surgery association (BESS) since 1995
the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow . (ESSSE) 2010
His practice has been exclusively Shoulder and Upper limb since 1995.
He publishes and presents his shoulder work both at the British and European Shoulder surgical societies.
His special interests include:
shoulder sports injuries,
shoulder arthroscopic (key hole) surgery
surgery of a variety of elbow and hand conditions
research interest in surgical outcomes
